My name is Jane, and I want to share my personal story of salvation. For years, I struggled with feelings of worthlessness and insecurity. I didn't feel like I belonged anywhere and always felt like I had to earn the love and acceptance of those around me.
Despite attending church my whole life, I never felt like I truly understood what it meant to have a relationship with Jesus. I found myself searching for answers and desperately wanting to experience the peace and joy that others seemed to possess.
It wasn't until I hit rock bottom that I really began to seek after God with all of my heart. My marriage was falling apart, and I found myself overwhelmed with loneliness and heartache. I began to pray like I never had before, begging God to give me strength and guidance.
One day, as I was reading my Bible and crying out to God, I came across the passage in Ephesians 2:8-9 that says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."
Those words hit me like a ton of bricks. I realized that I had been trying to earn my salvation through my own efforts, and that was never going to be enough. It was only through God's grace that I could be saved, and it was a gift that I could never earn or deserve.
From that point on, my life changed dramatically. I began to see myself and others through a new lens - one of grace and love. I no longer felt like I had to be perfect or have it all together, because I knew that God loved me just as I was.
I started to read my Bible more and began attending Bible studies and small groups at church. I surrounded myself with other believers who encouraged me and lifted me up.
Through my new relationship with Jesus Christ, I found a freedom that I had never experienced before. I no longer felt trapped by my fear, shame, and guilt. I knew that Christ had paid the price for my sins and that I was truly forgiven.
That freedom allowed me to forgive others who had hurt me and to let go of bitterness and resentment. I was able to extend grace to those around me and to love them in a way that I never could before.
My journey of salvation has been life-changing, and I am so grateful for the grace of God. It is my hope that others who are searching for answers will be encouraged by my story and will find the same freedom and joy that I have found in Christ.
